Question by Heather B: Does anyone know how and if I can, record a home vhs video onto a dvd-r from my pioneer home theater system?
My model number is DVR-231-AV

and im wanting to put my home vhs videos onto dvds. Im pretty sure you can, but i need help in reading the manual b/c i have no idea how to hook up electronics. How, if i can, hook a separate vhs to the pioneer system and record from that?
any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you =)

You can buy a VHS-to-DVD dubbing deck, about 0 or more.
Or, you can use your computer. You will need a USB video input device, such as a Dazzle. Play the VHS into the video input USB device and “capture it” then convert the files for DVD burning.
Your computer has to have a DVD burner.
