Question by T.S.: Questions about making the speakers on a home theater system wireless or if it’s even necessary?
See I’m looking at buying a Panasonic – 1000W 5.1-Ch. Blu-ray Home Theater System Model #:SC-BT330 And I was just wondering what I would have to buy to make the rear speakers wireless. Is it really even necessary? How long are the cords for the speakers? And how would I connect them to the system without having wires hanging all over my living room? Thanks ahead of time!

On the far side of the room, you connect two speakers to the wireless box that plugs into an 120v outlet. You aim the infrared device at the one that’s installed at the receiver. Another box plugs into the receivert and you have no wires hanging around

The receiver sends the music via infrared and it’s signal is converted to audio

You can spread the rear speakers at least 20 feet

I’ve purchased from Crutchfield, OneCall, and Vann’s and they’re all legitimate. Another really good one is www.bhphoto.com and also try eBay. I just bought a brand new iPod touch on eBay for 0 less than the Apple Store.

And for audio/video cables, flat panel mounts, routers, switches, misc. home theater, etc. I wouldn’t buy anything without looking at www.monoprice.com first. Ridiculously cheap mounts and HDMI cables. And the bible of all consumer electronics is www.cnet.com.

It just means your tv has one audio output, and it is of the RCA type, which is left & right.
If a tv has 2 rca audio outputs , like 1 fixed & 1 variable, it would be [RCA: L/R x 2] Make sense?
you’ll want the regular 2-channel rca stereo cables. Your home theater will be able to decode the surround sound from the 2 channels. good luck!
