What’s a good, moderately priced 7.1 Home Theater speaker system for a small living room?

Looking to get a PS3 for blu-ray movies and want a nice, yet moderately priced 7.1 home theater speaker system. I hear Onkyo is a good brand… any other suggestions? Or am I better off with just a 5.1 system???
